A cold front moved across the coastal areas of Guangdong this morning. Under the influence of the associated intense northeast monsoon, temperatures over the region will fall appreciably. In addition, it was foggy in Hong Kong this morning. The visibility once fell below 1000 metres at Waglan Island and Chek Lap Kok.
Weather forecast for today:
Mainly cloudy. Sunny intervals during the day. It will become appreciably cooler. Temperatures will linger around 18 degrees at first and fall to a minimum of about 14 degrees tonight. Fresh northerly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first.
Outlook: Rather cool in the next couple of days.
